It's a bumper update for us, lots to cover and lots still up in the air. We're getting closer...so let's dive in.
Club open day - confirmed - 29th August
We are able to (finally) confirm the date of Saturday 29th of August for the club open day, that's so jam packed with things going on you definitely won't want to miss it. Watch the team training, allowed your children to partake, install your name on your seat*, unveiling our wall of thanks and revealing this season's stadium name!
Starts 11am Every attendee will be required to complete our online track and trace form via your own mobile device upon arrival. You will not be allowed to enter without completion of this form (sorry rules are rules) - this data will not be stored for any other reason and deleted after a safe period of time.
11-12 am - The first team squad will be holding an open training session for spectators to view
12.15-1pm - We have up to 64 places for children to take part in a training session with the player and the management team. But you need to sign up in advance and book your free place! You can do that here
1:15pm - Unveiling of the Wall of Thanks and Stadium name
1:30pm - Q&A with Danny and selected team members
2pm - Finish
During this time we will be able to help those of you that have secured seat names select a seat and place them on your seats. This will be done on a first come first served basis - more details will follow.
Friendlies
You will have seen that friendlies are now underway and we have a few updates and changes. It's incredibly frustrating that we aren't allowed to let fans in - #LetFansIn - we know that clubs that break this rule will faces fines and repercussions. It was a reason for agreed earlier purchase of the VEO camera system and we hope you can enjoy the highlights (we know you would prefer to be there!) We now have three more friendlies to be announced with the inclusion of Yeovil coming to the hill. The previous arranged match away to Yate has been postponed.
Bristol Rovers U23 (H) Friday 14th August
Malmesbury Victoria (A) Tuesday 18th August
Shepton Mallet (A) Saturday 22nd August
Cribbs (H) Tuesday 25th aug
Radstock (A) Tuesday 1st Sep
Yeovil Town (A) Saturday 5th September
League start
We are getting more confident that a start should happen in September or early October. We are clear alongside other clubs throughout the steps that we can not start a season without fans present. So where you can please help back the campaign to #LetFansIn - the friendlies and other activities continue to cost the club during this period and each week continues to get tougher.
Update: The league is scheduled to begin on Saturday 19th September with the fixtures to be published on Friday 28th August at 1pm.
Season tickets Thank you! Thank you! We are delighted to see so many of you supporting the club by purchasing your season tickets now in advance of a season start announcement. This truly helps the club budget for the season and have a better handle on the finances the club will have across the season. If you've yet to renew or buy a season ticket - you can do this in our club shop right now... ;-)
Remember if you have an under 16 to register for their £1 season ticket and save yourself £37 for the season.
Covid planning, Track and Trace - We hope that everyone will bear with us as we try to navigate this time and support us where possible. You will have to provide your name and contact details as you enter the ground. As a club we have the facility to sell all tickets online and in advance, but it' not something we want to enforce unless entirely necessary. The stadium is likely to be cashless and priority if tickets are limited will go to Season Ticket Holders, Flexi Ticket holders, u16 Season Tickets and then general public.
Commercial Launch
We are delighted to be in a position now to launch this season's commercial guide to promoting your business. Please check out our guide and Reach #BA11
Commercial Manager Elliot Gallagher is reachable at commercial@frometownfc.co.uk for any questions and can come to see you to discuss your needs.
Player sponsorships
These will be launching in the coming weeks and will be sold through the club website. Did you sponsor last year? We still have some shirts to provide people who have not come back to us, get in touch to claim your shirt.
Director hunt
We are yet to announce, but we have made progress on the Director front with a number of acting individuals joining the existing board at this point to help steer the ship. However, we are still. looking for people who are interested in becoming a Director at the club. Please if you have any interest or can recommend someone, let Gary Collinson know. This is critical to our progress as a club.
Pin badges
We now have the new club pin badge on the club shop to order with the delivery due in early September. These will be red with raised silver wording and robin. Click here to order. The pin badges as part of the Crowdfunder will be distributed at the open day and held for those that have contributed to pick up. These will be a gold crest.
Merchandise and kits
You will be delighted to know that from Monday 17th you will be able to pre-order the new home shirt alongside a range of other Puma options. We're excited to launch this and give everyone the chance to show their colours on the streets and hopefully soon in the stands....if you stay one metre apart...If you can.
