We are delighted to announce the signing of full back Alfie Clarke from Paulton Rovers.
Alfie, joins us for his fourth season in the Southern League Div One. Having played for Larkhall for 2 and half seasons and then Paulton Rovers for the remainder of last season as Paulton pushed for a playoff position. With over 35 appearances the left back will add further experience and options in our fullback position. Alfie goes by the nickname "Squeaker", something we'll be sure to find out more about soon!
Alfie commented, "I’m over the moon to join the club, playing against Frome last season and seeing the support and following the club has is amazing! I spoke to a few people before joining and everyone could not speak any higher of the club and all the people involved with it. The boys have made me feel welcome and I’m looking forward to starting the season and hopefully achieving something great at this club."
Manager Danny Greaves stated, "I had the opportunity to watch Larkhall on a couple of occasions last season...and Alfie Clarke always stood out. He has a good background and upbringing, but is also accustomed to life in non league at our level which is important as some times lads coming out of the pro game can find it difficult. Alfie offers great quality from the left and will suit the way we want to play. We look forward to seeing him in a Frome shirt next season."
