Three Players Depart Ahead of 25/26 Season

We thank James Ollis, Joe O'Loughlin and Ethan Vaughan for all of their efforts over the years!
The Club is sad to say goodbye to three Robins. Striker James Ollis will finish a five-year stint at Badgers Hill to pursue opportunities at Step 3 after 166 appearances and 64 goals for Frome. Having commuted down from London to play for the Robins this season, Joe O'Loughlin will call time on the third stint of his career in Robins red having scored 14 goals in 152 appearances . Ethan Vaughan, named FTFC's Young Player of the Year at the recent end-of-season awards, will look to play full-time further up the pyramid.
On the departures of the trio, Danny Greaves expressed his gratitude: "Ollis joined the club ahead of the 2020-21 season. Five years on he has developed into a top forward at this level. His performance and his goals in the 2023-24 season, alongside Kane Simpson, Jon Davies, and Sam Meakes, resulted in promotion, one of the best days in the club’s recent history, and will always be remembered. We thank him and wish him well for the future!
"We always knew Ethan would be a short-term signing due to his aspirations to get back into full-time football in the near future. I think it was a move which has certainly benefited both parties. His performances levels were top-notch and he always conducted himself well. He is a great lad, and he hope he goes on and achieves everything he wants to in the game.
"Joe will be moving on for a third time. As many will know, Joe relocated to London part way through last season, but showed true commitment in continuing to commute to the club for training and matches in our bid for survival. That was never sustainable, and he moves on with our best wishes. Once Joe recovered his fitness, his form in the second half of the season was second to none, and it is a shame that it was not enough to see us survive. We wish Joe luck with his new job and his football moving forward!"
It goes without saying that all associated with the Club send their thanks to the three players and wish them every success next season, wherever it takes them! We hope to see them at Badgers Hill in the near future!
