As we enter the "final" game of the season a quick update of where we are in the league and the current situations in play.
League title
With one game to go we would require Plymouth to lose at home to Cinderford, and us to win away at Lymington with a 9 goal swing in our favour due to goal difference. Eg. Plymouth lose 4-0 and we win 5-0, or 1-0 & 8-0 etc...
League Playoffs
As this is an unlikely event, we will be entering into the league's playoffs. This is where the teams finishing 2-5 playoff to win a single promotion place.
The 2nd placed team will face the 5th placed team, with the 2nd placed team at home, and the 3rd placed team will face the 4th placed team with the 3rd placed team at home. These games will be one legged and decided on the night. These matches will take place on Tuesday 26th April. As we can not finish lower than 3rd at this point, we will be at home on the Tuesday if we are in the playoffs (most likely). The winners of those two matches will play in a final on Monday 2nd May - 3pm at the ground of the highest placed team. eg if the second placed team faces the third placed team in the final the 2nd placed team will be at home.
Details of the matches will be announced as soon as possible following the results being confirmed on Saturday afternoon. Tickets will be available online. These games will require all attendees to purchase tickets as similar to cup games the gate is split with the opposition and the Southern League. Key dates 23rd April - Last league game
