We are pleased to announce the signing of left-sided player Sam Heal.
Sam joins the Robins from Chippenham Town having signed for the Bluebirds following his release from Bristol Rovers in March last year. He progressed through the academy at Bristol Rovers, earning himself a professional contract under Joey Barton. He sustained a serious knee injury in the 2022 pre-season which halted his progress, before his eventual release. Sam has also enjoyed loan spells at Melksham Town and Salisbury.
Danny Greaves said “I am really pleased to add Sam to the squad as we enter the final third of the season. He is a player who is highly thought of, with huge potential and we are lucky to have been able to bring him to Frome. He is young and hungry and will add great competition for places.”
Sam gave his thoughts on the move, "I'm delighted to sign for Frome, after speaking to the manager, it was evident that it was a no-brainer for me. A massive club that matches my ambitions, I knew it was the best place for me to start enjoying my football again. I know how passionate the supporters are, and hopefully with their help, we can reach our goal of promotion."
