Manager Danny Greaves has confirmed that Dan Cottle has decided to leave the club.

The midfielder returned to The Robins last summer, after spending majority of the 2018/19 season at Western League side Bradford Town.

He initially followed Greaves from Trowbridge Road to Badgers Hill back in the summer of 2018, starting the season with the club before signing on dual-registration with The Bobcats.

Cottle scored nine goals in 26 appearances upon his return to South East Somerset last season, including a memorable hat-trick against Basingstoke Town in November.

Greaves is "disappoined" to lose Cottle, as he was an important member of his squad last season.

He said: "I am disappointed to lose Dan. I thought his performances were superb throughout the season and he was an important member of our side.

"He chipped in with his goals reaching double figures, and was key in creating a number of chances for others.

"We will all remember his hat-trick against Basingstoke amongst other top performances. He has been made a very good financial offer from a rival club that we could not match, plus the move suits his personal circumstances."

Everyone at the club would like to thank Dan for his efforts whilst at the club and wish him all the best for the future!
