On that day Wessex League Hamworthy United ran out 3-2 winners, following our promotion to the Southern League. This defeat came on the end of bad run where we had lost the previous 3 league games and looking to turn our fortunes around.
Hamworthy's Crow opened the scoring in the very 1st minute of the game, before Tom Piotrowski levelled the game after 20 minutes. Then a first half brace from Swann meant the tie was 3-1 at the break to the Hammers. A comeback looked on the cards when Craig Fullam gave us hope with 20 minutes left, but Hamworthy held on to secure a 3-2 win and progress into the next round in front of a crowd of 177. Frome team
