Steve Jupp, BA11's Club Historian, previews our first game of the New Year as the Robins match up against the Larks.
Frome Town kick off 2024 with a short New Year's Day trip to Plain Ham, the picturesque home of Bath-based neighbours Larkhall Athletic.
They will be looking to arrest a run of three games without a win, the longest of an otherwise highly successful opening half of the campaign.
Currently in 13th place, the Larks have not tasted victory since November, a winless sequence of five which includes narrow defeats against the likes of Bideford and Wimborne.
Early strikes from Kane Simpson and James Ollis enabled the Robins to triumph 2-0 in the reverse fixture at Badgers Hill back in August, while their previous visit up Charlcombe Lane yielded a 4-0 success early last term.
Make no mistake though, Larkhall have been persistently stubborn opponents in the recent history of this fixture, especially that pair of frustrating draws, a fortnight apart, two years ago when many believe the title initiative was conceded to Plymouth Parkway.
It's tight at the top once more and crowded too with the steady rise of Bideford but there are still twenty games left and sixty points to play for so plenty of twists and turns to enjoy or endure.
Match Details For those who plan on travelling to the game, tickets can be purchased on the gate with adult entry priced at £10 and concession entry at £7 according to the latest information provided.
Don't miss the chance to book tickets for our upcoming January fixture against Bemerton Heath Harlequins or grab your half-season ticket before 6th January to ensure you get your footballing fill in 2024!
