Bristol Manor Farm vs. Frome Town: Preview and Ticket Info

Steve Jupp, BA11's Club Historian, contemplates our midweek visit to the banks of the Avon and a crucial game in hand.

Buoyed by Saturday’s timely victory over Bemerton Heath and ending a run of nine games without a clean sheet, the Robins venture to Bristol on Tuesday evening for a tricky-looking fixture at Manor Farm.

Away games have been few and far between recently with just the one trip (to Cribbs) in the last six weeks and Danny Greaves' side will be keen to register their first success on the road since early November when all three points came back from Malvern.

Saturday wasn't such a good day for BMF, whose five-match unbeaten streak was halted by a stoppage time winner from in-form, ten-man Bideford and they currently lie eighth with the same number of wins as losses.

The Farmy Army have certainly experienced some extreme highs and lows over the past couple of years, storming into the play-offs in 2022 (winning at Badgers Hill before losing to Winchester in the final) while last term, they had to beat Western League Saltash in a relegation play-off to retain their Southern League status.

Last season's encounter at The Creek saw Frome get away with a 1-1 draw thanks to Luke Hopper's 92nd minute leveller and with Cribbs and Bideford both in midweek action, fans will be hoping for a little more than that in order to remain contenders in what's turning out to be the most open title race for years.

Match Details For those who plan on travelling to BS9, tickets can be purchased on the gate with adult entry priced at £10, concession entry at £7, Under-16s entry at £2 and under-5s entry FREE according to the latest information provided.

Don't miss the chance to book yourself in for our next game at Badgers Hill when we take on Paulton Rovers with county bragging rights at stake!
