Dan Demkiv settled today's friendly against Willand after following up quickly to pounce on a smart save. Rain heavily effected the match but both sides put in a good show for the fans and management teams.
The game was one of few chances but following Dan's goal (75mins) - Willand did well to hold off Frome Town with a string of saves to keep the score at 0-1.
This takes the new team to three wins from four in preseason as we grow together.
Manager Danny Greaves commented:
"Yesterday was a pleasing performance. As always in pre season you are looking at fitness, partnerships, and how the team are coming together, and yesterday was probably our most complete performance. On another day we probably should have scored another 2-3. Also very pleasing to keep our first clean sheet and look relatively solid throughout the side.
Tuesday is another chance to get some minutes into a few who were unavailable yesterday, so we will have changes and other will have the chance to impress.
We are also hoping to have some news on new signings later today"
