Steve Jupp, BA11's Club Historian, previews a tricky assignment away in Bath.
It's into the home straight now for the title race and the games do not get any easier as The Robins travel to Larkhall Athletic on Wednesday, the first of a trio of crucial contests against top five opposition.
Friday's narrow victory over Bishop's Cleeve guarantees runners-up spot at the very least and as well as three vital points, extending their unbeaten run to eleven, a season's best, there was a very welcome and timely return to action for Reece Rusher, his first minutes on the pitch since November along with the ever-dependable Thomas Duffin.
Every available member of Danny Greaves' squad will be tested like never before in the coming days and maybe, just maybe, an unlikely hero or two may emerge from the pack.
Top Three (prior to Wimborne's Tuesday fixture with Evesham)

Wimborne 32 72 +32

Since suffering defeat at Bemerton in early March, The Larks have timed their own play-off push to perfection, winning four and drawing two of their last six which has propelled them into fifth spot, a position cemented by a decent home record this term of ten wins from fifteen, including a 3-1 triumph over Wimborne.
Early strikes from Kane Simpson and James Ollis brought Frome a 2-0 success when the sides met at Badgers Hill way back in August. A repeat scoreline would be an absolute dream for the BA11 brigade but they know their side will have to be at their resolute best to leave Plain Ham with the spoils.

It all comes down to this one! Secure your tickets for our final home game of this thrilling season, the finale!
I’m more than a bit worried about this one? Over the last 3 games we’ve lost our way. Defensively were fine, because we’ve had to be, as we’ve been constantly pushed back towards our own goal and under the cosh. We’ve been dominated in midfield and the service to the front men has been reduced to long punts more in hope than expectation. Of course, most of the time it comes straight back again! We also look like a side running on empty. Jono getting injured is a disaster - just how many goals has he made this season for the team as well as scoring his 16 goals
Greavsie somehow needs to inject some energy back in the side…
