Steve Jupp, BA11's Club Historian, previews our return to league action ahead of the Devon side's visit toe Badger Hill.
Frome Town begin a run of four huge home games in a row on Saturday with the visit of Exmouth Town and will be keen to avenge that 5-0 humbling suffered at Southern Road back in January.
The Devon outfit, however, have found the going tough so far this season, footing the table with just a solitary league win to their name but they have taken a point off none other than Wimborne and also knocked the current league leaders out if the FA Trophy.
Only last week they lost narrowly to Cribbs by the odd goal in five, so they most definitely cannot be taken lightly and fans may recall a Badgers Hill clash against Lymington just over a year ago when the Hampshire side, with a record of null point from seven matches, battled to a 1-1 draw.
Exmouth are old adversaries from the Western League days and after a brief spell in county football, have risen through the ranks, securing Southern League status for the first time in their history in 2022.
Their initial campaign saw them finish fourteenth and the corresponding fixture here last season produced a hard-fought 1-0 home win with a Sam Teale header settling the issue shortly before half-time.
Kane Simpson's late consolation goal at Bath City ensured the Robins found the net for an impressive 21st game in a row, a run they will be eager to extend on Saturday.
Four home games in a row to begin a cracker of a December! Don't forget to book your tickets for the big games in advance!
