Pierce Mitchell Departs Ahead of 25/26 Season

We thank our centre-back for those disciplined displays at the back!

The Club is sad to say farewell to Pierce Mitchell. The defender had planned to spend another season at Badgers Hill, but will instead be relocating to London.

Since his arrival at Badgers Hill in early 2023, Pierce had made himself one of the first names on the Robins' teamsheet and strove hard in the backline for two years, taking the armband on occasion when Sam Teale was unavailable. The dependable centre-back leaves having made 90 appearances in a Frome shirt with four goals to go with them. He was a key cog within a tough and often miserly defence, particularly during the promotion season of 23-24.

Danny Greaves showed his appreciation to his defender: "It is extremely disappointing and frustrating to lose Pierce after initially getting him committed early. However, the sudden change in his personal circumstances means he will relocate to London and that has made it impossible for him to return next season.

"His reasons are totally understandable and I respect his decision. He will take some replacing, but I am glad it has happened now, relatively early in the summer to allow us to do just that. I thank him for his unbelievable contribution during his time with the club and wish him well for the future."

On the update, Pierce said: "Due to work commitments and wanting to be closer to family, I have decided to move back to London ahead of the new season. I want to thank Danny & Simmo, Derek and the board for bringing me into the club and always making me feel at home.

"I'm going to miss all the players & going into battle with you on a weekly basis. Some of the memories created will stay with me forever, particularly the FA trophy run, the promotion and, of course, a legendary 'car school' with some of my closest friends in Tealey, Riggy, Buddy & Ross!

"And last, but not least, a massive thank-you to the Dodge, all the fans, for always getting behind the boys and myself. You are the reason football on Saturdays is special!"

We wish Pierce all the best with his future! Good luck and we hope to see you down at Badgers Hill soon!
