We are delighted to announce the return of goalkeeper Kyle Phillips to the club. With Kyle returning to football after helping the club over the last few seasons.
Kyle is an experienced goalkeeper with over 300 appearances across the Southern League, having featured for 6 seasons at Paulton Rovers and Mangotsfield, Before joining as our number one in 2016, where Kyle completed 2 and half seasons before taking a step back away from football. During the following seasons Kyle has been on hand to help the club when availability and suspensions have been in place. The much loved goalkeeper will again be able to perform in front of the clubhouse end to his fans!
Kyle commented, "Really happy to be rejoining the club. I’ve always kept in touch with a lot of people at the club and I really enjoyed my time here previously and have always been welcomed back everytime I’ve come over. After watching the play off semi final and speaking to Greavesy after I hope and believe that I can make that little bit of difference to help the club go that one step further this season… plus I’m hoping Greavesy will message me less now I’ve returned!!
Manager Danny Greaves stated, "I consider this to be a massive signing for the club. Kyle unfortunately had to take a break from the game, but helped us out on a number of occasions over the past 2 seasons and performed exceptionally. I truly believe we have one of, if not the best keeper in the South West. His experience and presence both on and off the pitch will be crucial next season."
