"Last night's defeat was a tough one to take. I thought our performance was a step on from Saturday. We looked dangerous going forward and created a number of very dangerous situations. Saying that, our keeper has also made a few very good saves at times. The goals against were very poor from our perspective, with the second goal to give them the lead coming with only 7 minutes to go with us in good possession of the ball. A point away from home against Tiverton would not have been a bad result, so we will need to learn how to manage those situations when the clock is running down. Ultimately not turning our opportunities into goals, and a few mistakes have cost us the points.
Saying all of that, we have just played Hendon who missed out in the playoffs for the conference south last year, and Tiverton who finished one place outside the playoffs last year, and have competed well in both, and could have won both or easily took a point in both. But we come away with one point from the two games which is disappointing.
Lots of positives to take and a few things to improve going into Saturdays game against an extremely confident, high flying Hartley side who have won a few promotions in recent seasons, and have started this season well with two wins, so we need to be on our game to bring home some points."
