Frome Town FC are delighted to confirm the permanent signing of defender Alex Hallett from National League South side Chippenham Town.
The 19-year-old has signed a one-and-a-half year deal with the club, which means he could be with The Robins until the summer of 2021 at least.
The central defender initally came to Badgers Hill in the summer on a dual-registration deal.
Hallett has become the third current contracted player in the squad, alongside captain Sam Teale and Joe O'Loughlin.
Manager Danny Greaves is delighted to have secured the much sought after youngster's signature, as Hallett has impressed in his first few months in Somerset.
Greaves said: "I am delighted to have Alex tied down. It shows we are doing things right that Alex was very keen to turn what was a temporary dual registration with Chippenham Town, into a full contract agreement.
"He has been exceptional from day one and is certainly going to have a good future."
Hallett is looking to push on now that his future has been decided and continue to learn and improve alongside The Robins experienced defensive centurions, Teale and Marcus Mapstone.
Hallett said: "I'm really pleased to have signed, the ambition and future plans for the club made the decision easy for me.
"I'm really looking forward to seeing what we can achieve as a team this season and hopefully many more to come.
"Learning from the likes of Maps (Mapstone) and Tealey (Teale) has helped me develop massively in the short time I have been at the club.
"I would like to thank Chippenham Town for all they have done for me whilst I was there."
