Seb Tylek Departs Ahead of 25/26 Season

We thank our goalkeeper for his dedication to the BA11 cause!

The Club is sad to say farewell to Seb Tylek. The shotstopper will take up a position as Goalkeeping Coach at Wiltshire rivals, Melksham Town ahead of the new Southern League campaign starting in August.

Having enjoyed two separate stints at Badgers Hill, the Somerset Szczęsny has made an untold impact on the dressing room and his good humour has been felt around Badgers Hill by staff and supporters. Everyone at the Club would like to take the chance to commend him for all of his efforts, alongside departing coach Alan Bull, in preparing and supporting our No.1, Kyle Phillips, as well as his encouraging and nurturing of our young keepers.

'Poland's No.1' (as he was dubbed by the BA11 fans!) made the first of his seven appearances for Frome Town in October 2018. After his return in late 2023, he featured five times last term as the Robins reached the final of the Somerset Premier Cup, conceding just three goals.

Danny Greaves showed his appreciation to a loyal servant: "I would like to thank Seb for his massive contribution, especially last season. A No. 2 is such an important position, and he played is role incredibly well. Always training hard, and being a great support for Kyle, and performing incredibly well in the cup games. He will be missed around the place, but we wish him well."

On his move, Seb said: "I would like to thank everyone associated with the Club and all the fans for their support from the very beginning of the 2018-19 season, but especially Derek, Gary, Danny and Tealey for being there for me from the very beginning!

"My time at Frome Town, and the memories associated with it, will definitely stay with me forever. It was not an easy decision, but the right one due to my family situation and work. I wish Frome all the best and I believe they will return to their rightful place as soon as possible."

We wish Seb all the best with his future! Good luck and we look forward to welcoming you back to Badgers Hill this coming season!
