Ross Staley Departs Ahead of 24/25 Season

Following conversations between the management and the player, we can confirm Ross Staley has left the club.

Manager Danny Greaves said of the wing-back's departure: "It's with a heavy heart we say goodbye to Ross. He has worked hard and got himself much fitter over the summer and he deserves to be playing week in week out, and, unfortunately, I can't see that being the case for us next season with how we are approaching our style of play. Ross is a fantastic player, and we will all remember that winning penalty against Worthing in the FA Trophy, which I think turned out to be a bigger moment than just seeing us progress in that competition! I wish him all the best with his next move."

We thanks Ross and wish him the best of luck!

Now the fixture list is out, don't miss the chance to take advantage of our Season Tickets which you can secure on the FanBase app (link below) as well as all of our league fixtures in August and September!

Good luck Ross - He was a good squad member but spent a long time on the bench with very few starts after he lost his place. so this won't surprise a lot of fans. I was a little surprised that he started the season with us. IMHO he was better going forward than defending and just lacked a yard of pace on recovery when defending.

He'll always be remembered for burying that decisive penalty against Worthing, so he's left a legacy and an unforgettable moment in our history. He was very good with that left foot of his.

I hope he gets regular football at a decent club. I think that Heal arriving at the club probably sealed hi…
