REACTION: Danny Greaves

Manager Danny Greaves was on hand after the match to give us his thoughts on the match and the 2-2 draw with Paulton Rovers. So a point today away to a strong side that score lots of goals, how did you see the game? I'm delighted with the performance, but disappointed for the lads not to get the result our performance deserved. They are a very good side, especially going forward, being the second best attacking force in the league, so you need to kill them off and get that third to make it 3-1 when those chances arrive.

Their goalkeeper had a great game, was he the difference?

Must give credit to Sainsbury the Paulton keeper, he was outstanding, making 5 or 6 top saves and on another day we win comfortably. As we continued to miss chances you always felt it could come back to haunt us, and it did.

We had some good performances out there, who stood out for you?

I thought we had some excellent performances all round and some great approach play which deserved a final end product. I thought Joe and Rex in wide areas and the midfield 3 were very good. Simpson and Cottle caused all sorts of problems to Paulton today, what did you make of it? Kane Simpson and Dan Cottle were superb up top and caused all sorts of problems, and I don't know what more Kane needs to do to get that goal, his all round play was superb and he made the keeper work with every attempt, he is just going through one of those spells. Although he didn't score he setup the second and created more chances for those around him. Can you tell us about the substitutions? We made a couple of changes, more to try and change our luck in front of goal, but it was the same story with Rex having two great chances he would usually put away, and Johnny Gorman has a header saved, and then we have what looked like a stone wall penalty turned down before they equalise.

It felt like two points losts, do you have any thoughts about the chances missed?

It was certainly one of those days, but if we perform like that, and create that number of chances we will win a lot of games between now and the end of the season. Let's look at the facts... Dan, Rex, Jon Davies and Kane are all in double figures for the season and the challenge is there for each of them to go on and get more and take their chances. But we need our midfield boys chipping in more from open play, and we need our centre backs to get goals from set plays as well. It's a collective responsibility to ensure we take our chances and win games like today. But we had the chances it's easy to forget we scored two goals today and if we had the second penalty, we could have been looking at a entirely different result.

We had a similar story a month ago when we lost to Willand 1-0 and the lads reacted in the right way and we went onto score 8 in the following 3 games. I'm confident in the group we have to continue to create and covert these chances and show a similar reaction in our upcoming fixtures

The supporters were in force again today... Once again I must say our supporters were great and made it feel like a home game. Lets have the same again next weekend against Moneyfields.
