About the role.
We are looking for someone who is able to cover our home and away fixtures as our match reporter. The role consists of live providing live updates of our matches via social media, creating timely match reports at the end of each match and interviewing the management team and/or players at the end of a match. The successful candidate will join the Communications team to build on our a four-person team. The applicant will be expected to have their own laptop, but other software and tools will be provided. Travel to the games will be free on club team coaches or alongside other team members wherever possible.
This is an exciting role for someone starting out, looking to be supported in their development by an experienced team. There is no experience required, but the successful candidate should have a keen interest in writing, social media and strong knowledge of football. Training will be provided on all software. This will be great experience for any aspiring sports journalists looking for first time roles. This is a 12 month role, with no fixed hours, but needs to be flexible around club fixtures - Estimated hours 5-8hrs per week. Attendance at all (or a majority) of home and away matches is essential.

Ideally applicants would be from the Frome area, but we welcome applications from all commutable distances. Please ensure you include any football experience, writing experience or relevant experience in your application. Hours required: Home matches (2/3 hours), Away ( 3/4 hours dependent on travel), with an additional 1-2 hours estimated outside of games depending on workload.
Renumeration: This is a voluntary position, however £20 per game will be issued for all expenses.
