The Robins are to commemorate LGBT History Month at Badgers Hill!

We are proud to announce that our home Southern League match against Chesham United on Saturday 23rd February will be dedicated to Football v Homophobia.

Supporting and aligning ourselves with charities such as Football v Homophobia is something that is vitally important as we look to promote that Frome Town Football club is inclusive for all.

Using our platform to promote social change and make our community an inclusive one for all.

The Robins' Somerset Premier Cup quarter-final tie at Shepton Mallet, on Tuesday 19th February, will be one of the fixtures that the Somerset FA are dedicating in support of Football vs Homophobia's Month of Action.

The Ladies team will also play in one of the other dedicated fixtures, as they face Purnell Sports in the Women's Junior Cup on Sunday 24th February.

43% of lesbian, gay or bisexual players have heard anti-gay abuse whilst playing grassroots football, so we’re teaming up with Football V Homophobia to tackle homophobia, transphobia and biphobia in football and to make it truly the game for everyone.

Football v Homophobia exists to challenge discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity and expression at all levels in football.

As an international initiative FvH engages in campaigning, education, advice and guidance, research, policy consultation and capacity building to:

  • Make existing football structures safe, welcoming and inclusive for LGBTI people

  • Create opportunities and promote engagement of LGBTI people in football at all levels and in all forms

  • Improve the representation and visibility of LGBTI people throughout football

  • To realise the potential of football in society as a tool to create positive change
