Frome Town FC are delighted to announce that Kane Simpson will remain with the club for the 2020/21 season.
The striker scored four goals in 20 appearances in all competition last season, after returning to the club from Southern League Premier South side Swindon Supermarine.
Prior to his transfer to Evesham United in November 2018, Simpson scored eight goals in his first spell at Badgers Hill, following a summer move from Mangotsfield United.
Simpson enjoyed a fruitful spell with the Worcestershire Robins, scoring 17 goals in 20 appearances whilst at the Jubilee Stadium.
Manager Danny Greaves is hopeful that the "improving" Simpson can finally settle at Badgers Hill and push on with what will be an important campaign for the player and club.
He said: "I think this is a very important season for Kane. He has spent a lot of time on the move season after season, and I think now is the time for him to settle.
"Last season he spent the summer at Weymouth, started the season with Swindon Supermarine, and then moving on to Frome.
"It was a very disjointed season for him, and think he will have been disappointed with his goal return, but believe these factors did not help.
"His all round game was very good, his hold up play has improved immensely and his work rate is unquestionable, but he is a forward and will be judged on goals and rightly so.
"I honestly believe a fully focused Kane Simpson has all the attributes to be a top player at this level and above.
"A full pre-season working with us, learning how we play, but more importantly, us working out how we get the best out of Kane's strengths will be key to a successful season for him and us, and hopefully replicate his 20+ goal season from 12 months ago."
Simpson is "happy" to have re-signed for The Robins and looking forward to the task of helping them towards promotion next season,
He said: "Happy to have committed to the club once again for the new season. Looking forward to working hard and scoring as many goals as possible to help the club challenge again this season."
