We are delighted to announce that Goalkeeper James Carey has signed a one year deal with the Robins to sees him enter his 2nd season with the club.
James, 21, first came to Frome on Loan whilst on a professional contract at Bristol City. James instantly impressed and racked up over 20 appearances during the loan until forced James onto the sidelines. One recovered James spent a short time at Yate Town before joining Hereford. Jame's season last year was again cut short following an injury in the opening league fixture after impressing all pre-season.
James commented “I didn't have any doubts, it was pretty nailed on that I was willing to stay. I didn't think about going anywhere else...I'm looking forward to the new season starting".

Manager Danny Greaves commented: "Last year James had a frustrating start to the season, picking up an injury in the first league game at Mangotsfield, and then having set back after set back each time we thought he was nearing a return. The break came at a good time for him and he has worked hard during that period, doing lots of goalkeeping work to get back to fitness and form.He has undoubted ability as many of our supporters would have seen during his loan from Bristol City a few years back, which is why we are so keen to back him. But we have grown our supporters base since those days, and many are yet to see what this lad can do. This year is massive for James and he now needs to deliver on his massive potential, which I am positive he will if he continues to show the work ethic he has in the past few months."
