We are delighted to announce the signing of striker Harry Baker from Barnstaple Town, with Harry being added to our matchday squad for this weekend's match home to Larkhall.
Harry Baker is no stranger to the club as we're tried on many occasions to secure his services, starting when Harry joined as a young trialist in pre season 2012-13. Where came on as a sub in a high profile friendly v Bristol Rovers and scored the only goal with a 25 yard screamer 3 mins from time, before joining Gillingham Town before the season began. Then again for a single appearance in the 2013-14 season.
Harry came to the clubs aid, when he joined us for a loan spell during the start of the 2018-19 season from Weymouth, scored 3 goals in 5 apps including a brace in a 3-1 win at Merthyr.
The now 28 year old, has now played over 150 matches scoring 48 goals at the Southern League Premier level with Weymouth, Poole Town and Salisbury. Harry recently joined Barnstaple to gain matchtime and scored 3 goals in 7 games. Including one against us.
Danny Greaves commented, " I am delighted to welcome Harry Baker back to the club. Harry is a proven goal scorer at higher levels, and always remember him popping up with crucial goals and big moments in Weymouth’s promotion season a few years back. Our forward line have been superb this season with Rex, Jon, Kane, and James scoring 60 of our 84 goals in all competitions so far this season. I fully expect that form to continue, and hopefully Bakes can chip in with his fair share during the final 6 league games. You can never have too many forwards, especially in this business end of the season, and I am sure Harry will play an important part in our run in."
Welcome back Harry to Frome Town! Harry will join us in a special edition of #BA11TV later tonight.
