GAME OFF: Bideford (H)

Unfortunately as the day has progress the pitch is now freezing in front of our eyes. The ref and both sides are in agreement that the match isn't going to be playable.


The pitch passed a cautionary 3pm inspection and all parties were happy that the match would be playable. Thank you to Bideford for their understanding during these few hours where we've been in regular communication.

Refunds are being issued to everyone within the ground. Online tickets will be refunded or exchanged in due course.


We will be working with Bideford AFC to offer fans that have travelled free entrance to the rearranged fixture.

Bideford Postponement ?

Well, it looks like we may have to eat a bit of humble pie after castigating Totten for the same kind of scenario? There's nothing wrong with being wrong ocassionally, but perhaps an aplogy is in order here? There's nothing wrong in admitting that you were wrong!

Hi Gerry, both scenarios are vastly different. Bideford were kept in constant communication. They knew the results of the pitch inspection and we're aware of the potential issues if the temperature dropped quickly and ahead of the forecast. They were very understanding of the events and involved. No fans were charged entry after the match was called off, all their supporters were refunded instantly and we've offered to support their return visit. At no point was anyone at Bideford misled, there was no point that we could have called this off before the time is was called off. We've publicly apologised to Bideford and their supporters.
