West Londoners Hanwell Town make their first-ever visit to Badgers Hill on Tuesday evening for what the vast majority of Frome fans view as a must-win game.
The Scarlet Runners have become draw specialists in recent weeks (FIVE stalemates in their last SIX Southern League encounters) and with most of their relegation rivals picking up vital victories in that time, the gap to that all-important safety spot of eighteenth gets slowly and frustratingly bigger.
Hanwell themselves are no strangers to a share of the spoils with FIVE draws in their last SEVEN outings, the most recent being Saturday’s end-to-end 3-3 thriller with play-off candidates Walton & Hersham.
They currently sit safely in eleventh place, having been mid-table for a number of months now and it was at their Han Siro home back in early December where the Robins, with first half strikes from James Ollis and Albie Hopkins, ended a lengthy winless run to kick-start a much-needed revival.

SEVEN of Frome’s final TEN league fixtures are at home and while their record at Badgers Hill this term is nothing to write home about, they’ve lost just ONE of the last SEVEN here at HQ and an extension of that sort of form will give the faithful a glimmer of hope to cling to.
They ended a woeful run on the Geordies’ manor some three months ago and a similar outcome against the same opposition would provide a huge boost to the chances of avoiding a swift return to Division One South.
Much has been made in recent weeks of having games in hand over fellow strugglers - this is one of them and it’s got to count.
