Frome Town score three late goals to grab their first pre-season win at Badgers Hill in a competitive friendly against FC Bristol.

FC Bristol started the first half well but the defence of Sam Teale, Matt Wood and Warren Maidment looked solid and the couple of good chances that fell to the FC Bristol forwards were fired wide.
Frome created a few good chances as well through both Jon Davies and James Ollis both creating chances that either went close or tested the impressive young goalie from FC Bristol.
After the break Frome stepped up their game looking a lot sharper with Davies bringing a fine save from the visitors keeper which was followed by a well-directed header from Ollis, before FC Bristol had a player sent off for a heavy challenge on Joe O’Loughlin just after seventy minutes.
The extra man and fitness told in the end as Frome then upped the pace scoring three goals in the last 10 minutes.
First, Ben Griffith ran through from a fine pass from Tyson Pollard and coolly slotted the ball past the goalie to make it 1-0 to Frome
Five minutes later, Griffith caused more problems to the visitors defence and from a tight angle squared the ball across to Zak Drew who made it 2-0
Then, just before the end of the game, Pollard fired from the edge of the box to make it 3-0
With no injuries reported, the squad is up for the final home preseason friendly against Weston-super-Mare on Saturday 29th July at Badgers Hill 3pm kickoff. Tickets for that game are available at the link below.
