Frome Town returned to action for their second pre-season game against Southern Premier Dorchester Town.
Joe O'Loughlin, Reece Rusher and Jon Davies all made their first outings of the summer, in what was another positive performance from the team.
In what proved to be a competitive game, Frome came away with a draw on a windy day on the Dorset coast.
Dorchester started brightly and could have taken the lead inside the first minute as the side from BA11 looked to settle. Frome took the lead through Davies who calmly chipped the Dorchester keeper following a superbly weighted pass by recent new signing Will Taylor.
Frome were impressive throughout with Maidment, Tealey and Wood defending excellently throughout the game, marshalled by Kyle Phillips who when called upon pulled off a handful of excellent saves.
At the other end, Frome showed much attacking intent with the returning Jon Davies and Reece Rusher creating a number of threatening moments.
In the final minute Dorchester were awarded a soft penalty which they converted to ensure the game finished 1-1.
Frome are on their travels again as they visit Western League side Street on Tuesday evening.
