We are excited to announce the signing of forward Curtis Jemmett-Hutson. The experienced forward joins Frome Town after relocating to the Bristol area.
The 29-year-old forward started his career in the youth ranks of Cardiff City, going on to represent Wales U16s at just 13 years of age. After progressing through the Cardiff system, Hutson went on to represent several Welsh League sides including Port Talbot Town, Barry Town, and Penybont in the Welsh Premier Division. Jemmett-Hutson also played in the English system, featuring for Newport County, as well as fellow Southern Premier South league rivals Merthyr Town and Redditch, who also feature at Step 3 in the Southern Central Division.
Curtis is a current Barbados international and was first called up by the Bajan Tridents for a set of friendlies in June 2021. He made making his competitive international debut in a 1–0 loss to Cuba in the CONCACAF Nations League in March 2023.
Danny Greaves could not hide his excitement regarding his most recent signing: "I am delighted to bring Curtis into the club. He was highly recommended by a contact I have over the bridge whom I respect. He has recently had a successful trial period with Gloucester where he performed well and scored a couple of goals in pre-season, but circumstances led to him becoming available, and we took the opportunity to get him in. In the short time he has been with us, I have been extremely impressed by his ability and character and he will fit in to our dressing room really well. His goalscoring record is a respectable one and his experience in a line of fairly young forwards will be needed."
On signing up, Curtis said, "I’m really excited to be a part of this club and hope that we can really hit the ground running off the back of last season’s promotion. Having played in this league before, I know that the team we have will cause lots of problems and I can’t wait to play my part in that with goals, assists and by playing dangerous attacking football. Everyone has welcomed me amazingly so far and I’m itching for the real stuff to start!"
Welcome to BA11 and best of luck, Curtis!

Curtis had a really tuff start for us against Bath City's giant centre backs / back four, who really shunted him around and he spent a fair amount of time picking himself up off the ground. However , he was up and at it immediately and clearly this rough stuff is not going to put him off in the slightest - commendable. He showed pace and skill and looks very fit and strong. He's just what Ollie needs up top with him - another experienced striker.. He looked every inch a player who could handle this level.
Unfortunately I couldn't make the Swansea game but I would imagine that he gave those kids plenty to think about?
