Robins' centurion Connor Roberts has confirmed his move to Southern League Premier Central side Banbury United!
The defender made over 120 appearances for the club in his four years at Badgers Hill, after he signed from Biggleswade Town in the summer of 2015!
Roberts became and integral part of the dressing room and a popular figure amongst the Robins fanbase.
He was even handed the captaincy several times by manager Danny Greaves last season, and he lead from the front as Robins fought valiantly but ultimately unsuccessfully against relegation from Premier South.
The 23-year-old completed his studies at University of Bath in the summer, which has prompted his move to a club closer to his native Northamptonshire.
Roberts would like to thank everyone at the club, on-and-off the pitch, for the his overall successful spell in Somerset.
He said: “I would like to say thank you to everyone involved at Frome Town for the last 4 years, whilst I’ve been there.
"I was made to feel welcome from the start and enjoyed my time from start to finish meeting some great people both on and off the pitch along the way.
"Despite the disappointment of last season I’m sure the club can find its way back up in the near future and I hope to bump into you all very soon!”
Danny Greaves is disappointed to lose the stalwart but is grateful for his work ethic under his stewardship.
He said: "Connor will be a massive loss to us, but we thank him for his great service over the past few seasons.
"Connor was superb for me last season in what was an extremely difficult season. He always maintained really high standards and great professionalism throughout.
"He has all the attributes to push on through the leagues and go further in the game."
Everyone at the club would like to thank Connor for his effort and dedication to the club during his time at Badgers Hill!
