A New Year's Message from The Chairman!

As 2023 comes to a close, it is only right that we thank those who work so hard to make the club operate day-to-day.

Our Matchday Operations team have had a busy year, seeing an average gate of 450, and over 11,000 fans come through our gates this year. A massive thank-you to Sid and Martin for the job they do managing the car park and stewarding, alongside Radek managing the security. Thanks to Steve, Les & Paul for their work on the gate and ensuring everyone gets in smoothly.

In order to get them there, we must thank Ryan for his efforts on Matchday Promotions, alongside selling our programmes with Mark. Thank you both.

Once they enter the ground they are entertained and kept informed of all the match action and important information with a touch of wit and good humour from John on the PA. Thanks John. Thanks to Nick for standing in on the PA when John is unavailable, and for carrying out various other matchday jobs wherever required. Thank you to Neil for his support on ensuring everything is ready pitchside and prepared for action, and our thanks extend to Leah for all she has done in various roles throughout the year.

Our thanks continue as we extend our gratitude to the Graham family including Kirsty, Harvey & Lucy managing the tea hut, and the magnificent Teresa selling the raffle tickets amongst other jobs.

Before, during, and after the match our excellent Louise and Erica provide superb hospitality to our visiting club members and officials and we have been inundated with compliments. Louise doesn't stop there, her work for the club continues with the washing of the match-kit in readiness for the next game, as well as her work supporting our charity partners.

Our marketing and communications continue to go from strength to strength led by Ben and his team. Thank you Ben for all the work you do alongside our commercial partners and in various activities promoting the club alongside Simon, Sam, and Zian. As part of his team, we'd like to thank Zeb for his excellent commentary via socials and his excellent unbiased match reports, as well as the hours spent managing the website content to keep our fans informed of what is happening. Thanks to Harrison who has recently joined to continue the great matchday commentary and reporting alongside Zeb. A huge thanks to Steve for his fantastic previews! If you can't make the game, we have Luke who ensures you rarely miss a goal through our highlights videos. Thank you Luke. If the videos aren't enough we have the amazing Steve who provides the matchday photos and captures all the precious memories, thank you Steve.

We would like to thank everyone associated with all the clubs under the Frome Town umbrella including Ben, Tom, Tara and Tim from the Women's, Fosu with the 18s and everyone who runs the successful Frome United, including Tony who makes sure the mascots from FTU have an enjoyable experience on first team match days.

To keep the pitch going,  ensuring everyone gets to enjoy watching our teams, a massive thank you Greensward who do an amazing job preparing our pitch for action week in week out. I would also like to thank Gordon, Keith & Paul for the unseen hour spent cleaning the changing rooms and general ground maintenance.

Thank you to Lester, Sally and Simon, and every single one of you associated with our fantastic Supporters Club. You do so much to support our club, and now even run the matchday food, building your own Food Hut as well. Thank you will never be enough for everything you do.

I can't close off without thanking my Board. Gary who does so much behind the scenes, David who has brought energy, enthusiasm and experience to the team, Martin and Erica  who brings great business acumen and a fresh way of thinking, and Lester and Ben who we have already mentioned. Although no longer a Board member, Jon continues to support during board meetings as well as helping on matchdays wherever needed.

A massive thank you to Danny, Simmo, Bondy, Sara, Monksy, Alan and Bash for the work they do as a management team. Many unseen hours go into what you see on the pitch for 90 minutes. And our fantastic group of players who have delivered some memorable moments for this club during 2023 and work so hard for the badge and you supporters, exemplified by the way the 9 men battled for a point on Boxing Day.

A final thanks go to our amazing partners and sponsors since without you, we can't function. Your generosity and partnership is greatly appreciated and invaluable. To our supporters, the best in the league in our humble opinion, you come out to home games in great numbers, and travel around the southwest providing the players with the very best level of support and encouragement. We thank you!

I am sure I will have missed someone, and for that I apologise in advance, but I thank all of those who do so much, no matter how little or big. Without you we are nothing.

Happy New Year to you all!

Del Graham.

Please note our fixture at Larkhall Athletic on New Year's Day has been called off due to a waterlogged pitch. Details of rearrangement will be announced in due course!

Don't miss the chance to book tickets for our upcoming January fixture against Bemerton Heath Harlequins or grab your half-season ticket before 6th January to ensure you get your footballing fill in 2024!
